Pinterest is full of resources for just about anything and everything! Homeschooling is no different! Just type in “homeschool” into the Pinterest search engine and you will find thousands of results! Where do you start?
Well, let me first say that it is so easy to build up a HUGE board for homeschooling. Then when you are looking for ideas you can get overwhelmed and not know where to start. Here are some tips to help you tame the Pinterest chaos!
The secret to homeschooling with Pinterest is setting up multiple boards. Set one up a board for homeschool tips and motivation. This board is only for ideas on organizing, motivational tips, and those wonderful “Mom you can do this!” type pins. Then set up a board for each subject area you wish to cover.
Now that you have these boards set up, set up one board for each child you are homeschooling. Name it something like “Ashly’s Homeschool this week” or something similar. That way you know exactly what you are working on the coming week with each child. Delete pins as you complete them. When it’s time to add more pins go to your subject boards and add them in as needed for the next week. I like to delete as I go and then fill the boards back up on Friday night.
It is so easy to get overwhelmed with all the information you can find on Pinterest. Hopefully this little system will help you keep things a lot more organized!
Of course you can always follow us on Pinterest for great homeschool ideas! 😉
