United States Study Unit: Why Geography Matters

Do you struggle with engaging your learner in history? I get it. You want to make the lessons engaging and fun, but there is so much material to cover. Don’t worry! There are so many hands-on and interactive ways to teach your student about the United States.

United States Study Unit

Don’t know where to start? My United States Study Unit is the perfect place to begin. This unit is best suited for Kindergarten to Second grade students and provides an in-depth look at state facts, the flag and its geographical location on the map.

The unit includes an interactive worksheet for all 50 states, as well as a fun license plate game of I Spy. This would make the perfect field trip or even activity for a long road trip. Students will color the state of each license plate they spy on the road! Such a great way to expose early learners to other state symbols and flags.

Importance of geography

I don’t know about you, but I find learning about state maps and geography very important even in early grades. Learners should explore and be aware of the history of the world around them.

What a better time to start than right now!

Other parents just like you are loving this unit study. See what they have to say!

“This has the BEST information! My kids love the rainbow trace & can now spell some of the states & knowing the abbreviation is SO important! Thanks!” – Betsey R.

“My son is on the autism spectrum and tends to be a bit difficult with homeschool. He loves learning about the Presidents and where they were from, so we are using the states as a starting point to bridge the gap. He learns about a President and then does a state sheet! Win-win!” – Michelle R.

Try it for yourself and see what there is to love!

Happy Homeschooling.
