I get a lot of questions about how to teach the alphabet to preschoolers. It’s usually one of the first tasks that we teach our children.
I remember singing the ABC song to my son over and over way before he could even speak. LOL!
I know a lot children have difficulty or struggles when you try to teach the alphabet to them. It’s okay and totally normal. Not all children will pick up the ABC’s just by singing a song. I’ll show you some other ideas on how to teach the alphabet below.
How to teach your child to recognize the letters of the alphabet.
There are lots of fun games that you can play to help your child learn the letters of the alphabet. Check out this fun Goldilocks and the Three Bears printable coloring game. Videos To Teach The Alphabet
There are tons of great videos on youtube that help children learn the alphabet. I’ve also really enjoyed the Prepschool Prep Series videos on how teaching ABC’s. It reinforces the image of each letter and the name of each letter.
