These books often times aren’t overly long, but give your child the confidence that they need to continue in their reading journey. The early reader books are often easy to read and will progress into chapter books after a short period of time.

This can vary from child to child, but typically, early reader books are going to fit into the age group of 5-8 (sometimes even 4 or up to the age of 9). This just means that they’re in the beginning stages of learning sounds and words.
What age are picture books for?
Some kids actually never grow out of their love for picture books. But typically, when it comes to picture books, the children who are younger in age (5 and below) are the ones that love picture books. This is because there aren’t really any words on the pages and instead are full of bright colorful pictures.
